im always told that change is the only constant,
and that it may not be that bad afterall
but sometimes
its so hard to keep up with it, let alone to convince yourself to commit to it

i guess
this is one of those
"what goes around comes around" mad thingy
again

when will the vicious cycle actually stop?

so i turned 21 on the 19th Oct.

like all birthdays, the celebrations are always close to a week long
and so is this year's.

it was awesome
and finally one birthday that didnt land me anywhere near tears and kleenex
but i was so worn out from the chain celebrations
that i actually slpt 18hours of 1910 away
when the original plan was to have dinner with the folks,
and Loof with the loves.

21 is probably one of the most memorable year in my life so far
so many things have happened this year!

all the good things and the bad
all the choices i have to make
and all the lessons i've learnt so far.

it wasnt easy for me during the first half of the year
when the previous relationship ended badly,
things started falling apart,
and all that drastic change.

tried all the wrong ways to cope with the changes
and
thank god for friends and family for the utmost support
who kept me alive and well during that period,
and all the way up till now.

it was then i realised,
love does not limit to boyfriends only
boyfriends who bring more tears &heartaches than laughters &joys

so why go back to the mess when i came out from
when theres so many others who can give me the same thing,
and even better.

anw,
aside from the sad drama episode,
life has been great ever since

and it shall be exceptionally great from now on :)

Had a super long weekend
Fri to Monday
But spent a good half of em slping like a log
And missing 2 days of wrk :(

Reason being the cough syrup i was prescribed simply just knock me out in seconds
and had me soundly aslp for hours

But it didnt wrk last night
I had to wake up for seconds
and still,
cldnt slp.

Damn it
and i thought i've found a perfect cure for my insomnia.
Sighs.

The Monday blues is setting in today

MindCafe and V3 with the Uni babes on Thurs!

Waited for Lorr to finish wrk, and as usual, she'll always text us the day before and told us to go fetch her frm wrk. LOL
We all had bubble tea at her shop, and we all felt so full and guilty that we skipped dinner and headed straight for MindCafe.




Spent the 2 hours laughing like some crazy hyenas on the loose lor!
Thanks to Lorr and Ling's for their inputs to make us laugh like crazy.

All i can say is, they're very very sporty and spontaneous
They'll do whatever the game says, and even better!






Next, we went over to BQ to meet Trix for "en zi en zi" and booze
It was our first time over at V3 and it was madness!
Live Band was pretty good, they played all my fav Thai songs
but the music interval was even better!
Techno eh!
It just brings back those memories when we were 17-18?
Those were the days...Ahh..

and i dont care if i have "lian" music preferences

Afterwhich, we went for durian feast at GL!
Neoneo absolutely hated the idea so before i propose the idea, i told everyone beforehand and asked them to support me hhaha
and so off we go :)








we really cant stick to one place for more than 2 hours
cuz ive gluttons for friends who will suddenly announce their cravings
and the rest of us, being super nice and sweet, will think of possible places to sedate all the cravings and hence, we find ourselves constantly on the move for food glorious food.
So after the durians, Neo said the magical sentence
" Wa i feel like drinking soup"
and
when you turned to look at the rest of the grp,
they were already nodding their head in agreement
and the next thing i know,
we're off to Al Azhar for Soup Ayam!

Best friends share all the good food,
and
all the damned fats and calories!

Diet starts tmr, but tmr doesnt seems to come. How now butterflies?!

i bet their reply wld be
" okay next time dont call you come out"

Lo and behold my mighty image heavy post!
So now you knw this is how a one-month-lup-together entry looks like!
Very very lag on the com, and of cuz, very very taxing on the person who are posting this lor!

i hve been debating with myself whether to continue blogging here or not due to certain reasons,
and the conclusion is,
will still continue to blog here as theres simply too many memories of my friends and i here that im unwilling to give up.
Hence, im gg to be more consistent with my updates and not neglect my lil space here just so because fb is more convenient!

All in all, August has been a very busy month!
First and foremost, we kickstart the awesome month with he NDP 2009 Preview!
Lorr texted me the previous night and asked if i wanted to join them at the preview,
and im pretty thrilled over it!
The first thought that came to my mind was the fireworks!
And so the 4 of us, donned specially in red and white attires, and attended the preview.
The firewrks were below expectations tho.
No heart-shaped firewrks which ive been waiting for!
How can?!
Apparently, they saved all the nicer ones for the actual parade itself.
But still, it was a nice day out seeing that the last time i went to the NDP was in 1999? When i was in P5!









Next up iss dearest Trix 18th Birthday@ Shokudo and Kbox Cineleisure!


Went to Taka to handpick a huuuge card for her.

&Lorr dont know how to write "oh" in chinese.. hahaha

Next was Dbl O with the girls later that week..
Everyone KO-ed that night and woke up to a massive hangover, thanks to the 15 jugs of beer that night.
And Lorr swore to bring a backpack wherever she goes from that night onwards cuz she lost her wristlet along with cards and stuffs!

The same week, meet up with the girls again for gown photoshoot at Ling's place!
It was super fun trying out the gowns and the cancan, but its really tedious getting in and out of them.
Trix and i tried a total of 10 gowns and nearly died after that.
The gowns are frm HT's family bridal shop and are for sale.

After the photoshoot, we went for the Swensens 1-for-1 ice cream buffet at ION.
Seeing all those sweet treats and ice creams already made us happy happy girls,
so imagine our delight when we fed our tummies with them loves!

And thanks to neoneo's reccommendation, we headed to the Ramen Bar over at Holland V
and boy, it sucked.
The only nice part was the egg and other than that, everything is too salty!



And so, we went for a quick bubbletea fix to drown the nasty aftertaste from the badbad dinner,
and stood by the roadside for a gd 30 mins chatting happily and discussing where to head after that.


and Fang finally suggested something decent which amazed us, ok, amazed me. lol
That is, to go bowling at the Chevrons!



So we went, changed our shoes, picked out the bowling balls, and then,
someone suggested us to play 3 on 3 against each other.
Hence we oh-ah-bay-ya-som and see who teamed up with who
and guess what?
The moment i saw who my team members were, i knew we were doomed.
Team #1- BB, Mantha and Neo
Team #2- MH, Jas and Fang, all the tofus.







and obviously, we lost lor.
worse still, i got the lowest out of the entire grp
but its alright,
its the fun that matters what
You all dont so gei gao can or not?!
BB just love to calculate my scores and remind me that my average for each throw is..
a mere 2.2marks.

Dinner after wrk at Shokudo with the best friend and her best friend :)

&finally, after 6 months, its back to home sweet home in Msia
Family gatherings usually mean rounds and rounds of food, wine, and of cuz fun!

On our way out to our fav mall for shopping

and food glorious food at Secret Recipe!
Tiga and i had fun choosing the cakes from the array of selections available, and before we realised,
we've ordered 7pieces of them cakes alone.
Thank god for male cousins who have huuuuge appetites and ultra expandable waistlines to settle them for us!
After the short teabreak session, Tiga and i headed for shopping( what else) while the guys went to the arcade..

Joined them there and had a blast playing photohunt (think 8 of us crowding arnd the small booth and too many fingers fighting to spot the difference), bball and and and the karaoke machine which films our faces as we sing, as tho we're in the MV itself.

After which, headed for the birthday dinner for my granduncle which is the main purpose of the trip back home.
Birthday dinners in Msia always includes having the local stage performers who sing and dance for us while we dig into the 8 course meal.






Outing with the Uni babes for Thai food@ Shaw Centre and Timbre after that for a short chillout session..

Because our dear Ah Fang gotta go vege this day( Chu 1), we all picked a vege restaurant for dinner specially.
Not fair lor.
The last time i go vege 24/7, they brought me to eat International Buffet at Furama leh! NB!
But anw, thank god im over that phase, and the restaurant we went to is Ling Zhi Restaurant over at Novana which is pretty good.
Love the food over there, tho i think we ordered a little too much.
Nothing new i guess, we always did.






After dinner, i dragged all of them for Purikuras.
And as usual, they will give me the WTH face until i backed my request with this reason
" We all need something to look back when we'r e old what"
Hahahaha
Aand so it worked!


Cuz i can nvr employ the use of the scissors well, so im usually spared frm the cutting of the Purikuras.
Its a good thing tho.
I dread cutting stuffs too.

Secret Day Trip to JB #2
Shopping was madness over there, tho the dinner was disappointing..
But still,
we can always do with a lil getaway day trip no?
This time round, we went for our usual K session, and even managed to catch a movie!
Caught "Turning Point" which is a HK movie,
and instead of mandarin, the movie was played in Cantonese which just made it better!
And not to mention, the tickets over there were cheaper by a large margin as well!
RM6 for each pax!











My XXL Lollipop which has gum inside after cracking the whole hardcandy.
They were amazed at my sppeed of chomping everything down my throat like lightning.

They made a mad grab for the cheesecake sticks AGAIN.
This time, nothing left on the shelves and i didnt even buy lor.

and Fang&i had great fun tasting each and every mooncake samples while the girls paid up.

Movie date with the uni babes one Tuesday after lesson (yawns)
and we caught the horror flick "Orphan"!
I guessed the purpose of choosing the particular movie was to find out
how loud can 6 girls' screamings get.



I have alcoholics for friends, who bring beer into the cinema so as to double the viewing pleasure!
Hahhaa
Thats why i say, our motto is " Beer before life!"

and as if Orphan wasnt saddist enough,
i caught FD4 the same week with the Bflies.
And i conclude, FD4 is the reason why i've aways been afraid of ceiling fans, why i will never ever go to the car wash alone, and why im never gg to watch a horror flick in 3D glasses anymore. Too bloody!






&when theres nowhere else to go, Timbre is always the best available alternative.

Mantha insisted on having the Vodka Pineapple which tasted like crap!
I will tk Heineiken anytime pls!





and when 2am is still too early for home, we headed to Mr Bean's.
Absolutely love places which operate 24/7!


Steamboat dinner means gastrics for me in the past
but now ive found the perfect way to counter that!
That is, eat a yoghurt before it!
Tried and tested!


First MJ session with KL and BB on Friday night.
I wanted soooo badly to go home to slp as i was v v tired from wrk that day but they refused to let me go!
So our compromise was, they let me go home to bathe and wash my hair, and we'll meet after that.
And i think KL feels like killing me as i keep asking her dumb questions abt MJ.
Its my first time playing whatttt!
But i really think im quite stupid
cuz i "pong" the 9wan and i didnt throw any tiles out which i shld,
cuz i tot i can save the 9wan until the 4th one came along. LOL
Anw, the old woman KO-ed on the sofa later tt night while BB and I were still enthu in FB, gossiping.

Last but not least,
last weekend saw us at Yumcha Chinatown for brunch (at 4.30pm mind you!), Timbre for a chillout session and our fav haunt at Evans Road for supper.

&here's something meaningful that struck me recently..

Reason Season Lifetime

One random Monday,
the 5 of us went on a secret trip to JB for a lil getaway.
It was one of those days when we meet each other as early as 9 in the morning.
Amazingly, Mantha and I, we werent late afterall leh!
In fact, none of us were!

Hence, we didnt sing much, and spent most of the time staring onto the screen
and ogling over Lee Hom.
Super not used to singing in the early afternoon when we usually go singing late at night!

Mh: Huh, Ok lor, what you all want?
Jf: I want strawberry
Mh and Ying (at the same time ): I want chocolate
Mantha: No take this one (points to some random flavor)

The usual fight we wld hv
and so
its always impossible to settle for one universal flavor and we got to hv 2, or if not more,
if BB nvr step in to stop us
HAHAHA

Cuz Ying spent an hour at that pushcart and we had nothing better to do :(

Jf swept everything onto her tray lor.
It was full initially one leh!


Big feast! Ta-dah!
All keep saying " Wa order alot, like cant finish", "Cfm cant finish" ," Ya lor 9 dishes leh"
but end up,
we polished everything off.
Dont know why they bother to act small appetite when we know each other for so damn long alr
LOL

On our way home with chui-ed hair and face
but super happy :D
Spent the cab journey back home tearing all the price tags out
so that all evidence of me being in JB was nowhere to be found. :D
More JB trips girls!


Next up was dearest Ah Cai's birthday gift preparation!
It was a skyscrapper project which had to be splitted into 3 phase on 3 diff nights until we tot our eyes were gg blind soon, and our backs were gg to break.
But still, the end results was v v satisfactory!
In fact, i love it alot alot :D
